Dajčovo

In north Bulgaria, along the Danube, and through west Bulgaria (Šopluk), dances in 9/8 (2+2+2+3) rhythm are known as Dajčovo or Lile Lile.

In Romanian, it is known as Şchioapa but not very common, with a variant around Sibiu in south Transylvania and north Muntenia called Hodoroaga, which rhythm is slightly changed to 5/4 (2+2+2+4).

Dajčovo is a circle dance where a leader calls what various the circle should do next.
